KM American Amber Ale

Batch Size:  5 gallons Boil Time:  60 min.
Starting Gravity:  ~1.050 Finishing Gravity:  ~1.012
Primary Fermentation: Secondary Fermentation:

 

Ingredients:

1 lb 60 L crystal
6 oz Caravienne
6 oz belgian aromatic
2 oz chocoalte malt
6 lbs British dry malt extract
1 oz Centennial 60 min
0.5 oz Willamette 60 min
1 oz Willamette 10 min
1 oz Cascade dry hop
Wyeast 1028 London Ale yeast

 

Procedure:

Steep grains, add extract and boil, add hops as you go!

This beer won second place in the Ambers & Browns category at TRUB X, although both judges agreed it wasn't quite bitter enough for the style.
